This is my latest Italian landscape painting my series of Tuscan landscapes. This one is Castiglione della Pescaia III which I've painted twice before but always with variation. I love the colors, the composition and the serenity of it. All my fans love it and there are several art buyers interested in it as well in other paintings of the series....

A Corporate Commission

I finished a commission I received from the MAERSK LINE LIMITED shipping company in Norfolk Va. I was also invited to attend the christening ceremony in Norfolk which was a very exciting event! Dignitaries , Corporate Executives , Military Brass, luncheons and dinners were all witnessed in the naming ceremony for this Ice Class Tanker! Great fun!

I just finished this piece...it's 28 "x28". My landscape theme continues.I've switched my palette to theblue/lavender range with a little fog mixed in and the one point perspective for drama! Still QUIET! I'm shooting for a few pieces that I can hang in the ddk Photo Studio in Alpharetta, Georgia!

At the moment in between portrait commissions I'm working on an impressionistic landscape series, with the Tuscan theme. This is the second of the Elba series, Elba II, which is coming along very nicely. I'm using old postcards I bought in Tuscany in 1988 as inspiration. The idea is to continue with the series and also paint a few in a larger size...
