About the Artist

A self-taught artist who has worked in a variety of mediums throughout his life, Bryan now focuses on oil painting, which he feels is the most versatile and expressive. He began developing as an artist at an early age, drawing in pencil or pen and ink and later moving on to painting.

Most of my work is done Alla Prima (Wet on Wet) in oil. Thick application of paint with well defined brush work, gives my paintings a rich textural quality. Much of my inspiration comes from the unique landscape of Eastern Pennsylvania & New Jersey in the United States. The river, canal, hills and picturesque farms provide a diverse variety of timeless subjects.
