Painting, Drawing, Collage, Printmaking, Film
My homepage tagline reads: Painting, Drawing, Collage, Printmaking, Film
I cover a broad range of subject matter; landscape, interiors, still-life, portraiture and life painting, all in a representational idiom. My central interest is the human figure.
My approach to each of the genres in which I operate is one of technical flexibility; I will employ those effects most suitable to the visual issue being addressed. Because I am not represented by a gallery, there is no pressure on me to create ‘product’ within a narrow aesthetic range to serve a market demand. I can constantly vary and adjust the means at my disposal.
