Lives in Vancouver, has studied at Concordia University, Montreal, Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Vancouver, Glasgow School of Art, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon. Has exhibited across Canada and has been awarded BC Arts Council and Canada Council grants. Recently completed an artist residency at Gullkistan, Iceland.
Based in Vancouver, I travel within the city and outside of it whenever I can to collect information I translate into paintings. Particularly under my scrutiny are areas that show signs of human alteration, whether this be subtle or dramatic. I recently spent a month in Iceland where the scenery is dramatic but the signs of human activity within it are subtler.
